My older daughter has been begging for months and months to get her ears pierced. I got mine at the age of 12 but remember feeling like that took forever.
She’s really such a great kid who for the most part is so mature and well-behaved. She’s sort of our middle child with her twin brother and the baby sister usually causing the bulk of the friction requiring a lot of the parental attention.

So because of all that and well just because, today we took her to get her ears pierced.
When she awakened this morning knowing the plans, she kept saying “I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming that I am really getting my ears pierced today!”
And now she really is gazing at herself continuously to scope out those precious ears!
Oh her excitement is palpable from your description! We’re trying to wait until our girl becomes a bat mitzvah at 12 but who knows if we’ll be able to wait that long!

Yay! I’m so glad your little girl got her ears pierced. My seven year old has been asking FOREVER too. But, my husband told her when she has a double digit birthday, then she can get them pierced. I can’t wait for the big day!
