Well my little man asserted that I was the worst mom ever as he threw himself onto the kitchen floor.
For some reason, the kids seem to be drawn to the kitchen floor for their freakouts.
Yes I admit I was being exceptionally cruel when I asked him to start his 20 minutes of nightly reading!!!
One of my favorite things in the world to do is photograph the tantrums.
I know I will miss them one day.

Aw, the glory of tantrums! Will I miss them some day? Hard to say because my son is three and I’m still in the thick of his meltdowns!
oh Anka! 3 is bad…worse than 2…but 4 is so much better.
yeah our 2.5 year old is right on target with the cliched terrible twos – he recently shouted the word NO for 15 solid minutes in the back seat of the car
it will get better Ms E!
I love that you love taking photos of the tantrums. I only have one twin that melted down frequently (though the extent of each one made up for the other not doing it) and she absolutely HATED it when I would open all the windows and front door in the midst of the ear curdling screams she was producing. Emily, Mr. Dailey’s going to hear you…. NOOOOOOOOOO!
oh that’s great Mer! My guys get equally crazed when I pull out my camera. they’ll shout “don’t put that on blog!”
I have not thought of photographing tantrums, nor have I considered “missing” them, but I love this.
Ah thanks Alena. I have quite a collection from the many years of tantrums!
Hahaha!! As I’m struggling to get my little guy, (#1 grandchild 6) to embrace an hour of Kinder homework…..
I showed him the picture…..he immediately felt he must stand up for you, actually sat up and did his work…..thanks!
Ha that’s so great Melinda!!!
Well, that does sound exceptionally cruel!!! haha!!! My son is exactly the same way…you just never know what will set him off!
Well next time (and we all know there will be a next time!) consider taking a photo
Oh, the tantrums actually end? I have a 3 year old…
The 3′s are THE WORST. Terrible should be assigned to 3′s instead of 2′s! But it will get better…promise!
You know some moms tell me the same thing when I complain about my sons’ tantrums: that I will miss them. Honestly, I really don’t think I will! Haha! Sometimes I like to take pictures of their crying, sad faces because even if they’re pitiful, they are also exceptionally cute. But tantrums? I’d rather forget them as quickly as I can.
I hear ya! i happen to be having moment lately where I’m noticing how big, how grown up, the kids seem to be….so I think that’s where my thought about missing the tantrums is coming from.
You are so brave to do that! I would fear my children would have hated me forever. It is probably a good way to get them to knock it off though!
