Writing on the Wall

10 Jul

I’m doing a major clean out in the kids’ rooms which includes scrubbing dirt and whatever else off the walls. When I got to this section of my daughter’s wall, right near her closet around her eye level, I hesitated with my Magic Eraser in mid air.

Writing on anything but paper is a big no-no in our house, but, I can’t bring myself to clean it off…this self portrait of my little imp!
What would you do?

I’d clean it off. You have the picture of it.

i would take a picture and post it to FB and save it to my home computer forever and then maybe just maybe clean it off? i’m also an absolute sucker for nostalgia :)

I agree with elana and brian. You have captured it, now it may be erased. Another option might be to have a section of wall that you allow her to decorate. Walls can be painted. Having a designated wall spot may prevent her artwork from showing up in other, less desirable places.

Call me crazy but that looks like an adult drew that trying to make it look like a young child did it. Looking at it makes me smile!
